Why parents choose CCDC
We want children to be safe, loved, challenged, and pointed toward what is true. That means classroom routines matter. Teacher tone matters. Curriculum matters. Character matters too.
Children build early reading, writing, math, science readiness, Scripture memory, and practical social skills through the Abeka Program and hands-on classroom activities.
Our setting is intentionally personal. Teachers guide children with warmth, structure, prayer, and the kind of daily attention parents are hoping for.
The best first step is a tour. Call Joy Carter at (804) 271-6100 ext. 2 and we will help you talk through age placement, availability, subsidy questions, and next steps.
Curriculum and character
CCDC uses the Abeka Program to help children grow in phonics, reading readiness, numbers, science readiness, and classroom confidence. Along the way, children are guided through Scripture, songs, hands-on activities, and positive social interaction.
Financial support
Families using Virginia child care subsidy can ask about accepted enrollment steps when scheduling a tour.

School-age care
We support Henning Elementary families with before and after care that includes biblical encouragement, a safe setting, homework assistance, and consistent adult supervision.
